This was the very first costume that I ever made (and my first time experimenting with fabric paint).  The dress itself is made from a sleeveless top and skirt that I bought and had sewn together.  After that, I marked off the lines for the pain around my neck, arms and the bottom of the skirt with masking tape; and outlined the design for the dragon and panda bear in chalk.  Once everything was marked off, I used about three layers of fabric paint to get the design on.  The scales on the dragon were done in black Sharpie marker.

For the garter around my leg, I took a piece of white fabric, cut it into the basic shape, then took some black felt and sewed it around the middle.  Once that was done I made two talismans out of paper and stitched it onto the garter; and then I attached the garter to a pair of black biking shorts I had bought.

The talismans that I'm holding in my hand are made out of beige coloured paper with the spells written on in red pen.  The reference for the spells came from my Shaman King wall calendar.

Interesting tidbit: I also used this costume for the Moonlight Masquerade Ball at Anime North with a dragon mask, brooch and shall.
